West Coast Craft, Summer 2015

To get ready for Renegade Craft Fair, happening this weekend at Fort Mason Center in San Francisco, we’re looking back at our favorite discoveries from June’s West Coast Craft.

San Francisco-based fiber artist Liz Robb creates sculptural wall hangings and woven forms.

We were happy to see long-admired shoemakers from LA, The Palantines

Block-printed fabrics from DYM Textiles provided a brightly colored respite in a sea of mostly neutral tones.

Make. Do. Collective, a group of four California College of the Arts alumni, work together to create a range of goods. Their offering spans from kitchenware to abstract figurative paintings.

Former sailing instructor Susan Hoff specializes in designing and crafting totes from old sails and spent horse tack.

Mineral Workshop, a textile studio in Northern California headed up by Carrie Crawford, makes indigo-dyed pillow covers and textile panels.

We fell for the perfect marriage of ornamental and minimal in Brook Peridgon's delicate, hand-printed table runners.

We'll be at Renegade this weekend, covering the event on Instagram, so follow us there! Curious about West Coast Craft of years past? See last year's Field Trip post.
