[make it] meyer limoncello, part one

making limoncello [bancroft + ivy]

lately, i've been in the mood to make things, and have been searching for something simple to get started with.  homemade limoncello (inspired by my aunt's recipe) seemed like the perfect answer.  one quick email to my local parent's club, and i found a neighbor looking to have her entire meyer lemon tree pruned.  i grabbed my market bag, put charlotte in the stroller, and off we went! i'll post my recipe once the process complete (i took some liberties and am a little nervous while this is still steeping), but for now, wanted to share a few of the in-process photos.

after moving and feeling like i was in a constant state of transition, it felt so great to get out some of my favorite kitchen pieces [from anthropologie, food52, and heath ceramics], and make my new home feel like my own. as an added benefit, my entire house smelled beyond amazing during this, and afterwards, i was left with enough lemon juice for cooking, cleaning, and juice cleanses well into the future.

fingers crossed that this comes out delicious, and in time for holiday gifts!
